Homo spiritus

Workshop

I would like to call your attention to a phenomenon that you may experience upon completion of the clearing process. The need to socialize casusally with people has subsided. My wife and I have become quite happy at home and venture into society less often than before These tendencies are not so apparent in our children, especially the youngest (18), but neither has the urge to party. They enjoy socializing, but in a more intimate circle with friends. Other people involved in the clearing process have made similar observations about themselves, enough so, that I thought it would be worth mentioning.

It is not an unhappy arrangement. In fact, most people feel very comfortable and balanced by themselves and have chosen that condition. It involves your rise in consciousness through the process of releasing emotional patterns from your energy body. The stereotypical picture of someone of advanced consciousness is the hermit or recluse with a long gray beard living alone upon a mountaintop or in a cave. A more appropriate image, considering that most of the people doing the clearing work are women, would be the mysterious, intuitive woman (without the beard). People seek out this person for their wisdom and teachings, but they stay aloof from most social interactions. The reason for this lies in their focus and perception.

A person of higher consciousness is tied into another perception of reality. Every action and interaction is the movement of spirit and their main focus is spiritual. Worldly concerns are understood as transitory and hold no attraction. There is peace, joy and contentment with what is. An inner stillness permeates all activities and love radiates from that stillness. If you have had the pleasure and opportunity to meet such an advanced soul, then you have probably observed what I describe. This is the place that you are moving towards. This Being is you, or will be once you have cleared your emotional baggage and adjusted your perceptions.

The path there may seem arduous at times with many pitfalls and detours, but you will get there nonetheless. It all is a matter of raising consciousness. David Hawkins in his latest book, I, uses the term Homo spiritus to describe the evolutionary shift in consciousness, which is now occurring. He writes, "The appearance in humanity of the realization of God as the ultimate Reality, substrate, and source of Existence and Creation marked the beginning of the emergence of a new, evolutionary branch of mankind called Homo spiritus. The term Homo spiritus refers to the awakened man who has bridged the evolutionary leap from physical to spiritual, from form to nonform, and from linear to nonlinear. The awakened man realizes that it is consciousness itself, which constitutes the core of the evolutionary tree in all its seemingly stratified and evermore complex expressions as the evolution of life. Thus, life transforms from the relatively unconscious linear to the fully conscious nonlinear, and Creation reveals itself to be the ongoing unfolding of the Unmanifest becoming Manifest. The capacity to reach the condition or state classically called Enlightenment represents the fulfillment of the potential of consciousness in its evolutionary progression."

An indicator of your consciousness level is your perception of the conditions of your life. If you are embroiled in battles, arguments and disagreements, you are still linked closely to lower levels of consciousness. Victim mentality, judgment, suffering and lack-consciousness are all indicators of the internal work that you need to do. As you progress in consciousness, higher patterns of perception begin to pervade your thought process and replace the lower frequency thought-forms. The prevailing tendency is that more love is apparent in your life and expressed in your interactions with life. You become kinder, more patient and more tolerant of others. You experience yourself as the source of all your discontent instead of blaming others, and begin to see other people as helpers and supporters in your growth instead of your adversaries.

Reason and logic, which have helped you thus far, become an obstacle to spiritual growth at some point and must be laid aside in deference to unconditional love. Leaving the familiar world of reason may seem daunting to many, especially for those who are predominately mentally oriented in the world, but it is necessary to step beyond the mind/ego perception to advance further in consciousness. Understanding that you understand nothing is a very healthy attitude to have.

Whether or not you experience a lack of interest in social contacts or you feel self-contained and at ease with yourself is not necessarily an indication of your rise in consciousness. It may just be a sign of maturity or advancing age. Whatever the reason, do not be concerned if you find yourself experiencing that condition as you progress through your clearing process.
